Top South Indian Restaurants in Brampton
1. Magadhi Restaurant
This is one of my recent favorites. The moment I parked my car in the complex, I could smell the aroma of the Sambar.
Magadhi is a traditional South Indian vegetarian restaurant and you will find all your favorite South Indian dishes here. Although it is in Brampton, it is located close to Mississauga as well.
On a cold evening, chili bajjis were a go-to snack back when I was in India. It was great to relive the same here in Canada as well. It was piping hot, tasted great and chutneys were amazing as well.
What’s great about Magadhi Restaurant
- Value for Money: Easily the best South Indian restaurant in terms of value for money. The portion sizes were really filling. For example: Even the mini idlis were bigger than the usual ones at other restaurants. You can also order a single vada instead of a set of vadas. These little things save you money.
- Quick Service: Anything we ordered, came in less than 10 minutes. The staff were very friendly and answered our questions patiently.

Yes, you read that right. Adyar Anandha Bhavan, right here in Brampton.
Once again, it is located on Financial Drive which means that it’s closer to Mississauga as well. It is a very spacious restaurant and despite that, there is always a waiting time.
You get all your favorite dosas just like in India and I loved the menu. Lot of options to choose from. The taste was similar to what you would get back home at A2B.
